Scalloped Sundays

Sundays are usually days on which I spend quality time with family, friends, and the gym (yay for Sunday morning spin classes). Every once in a while, however, there are things worth shaking up such a comfortable routine for-- such as my good friend's birthday! We decided to have brunch downtown at The Templeton on Granville Street; I was blown away by the generous portions, delicious food, and affordable prices. Afterwards, we bought more donuts from Cartems Donuterie (I'm addicted), tried cream puffs from Beta5 Chocolates, and visited Science World for their latest "Light: Illuminating Science & Art" exhibit. All in all, a pretty full day already right?

Sadly, my day was not to stop there-- I headed back home, worked out at the gym, had dinner with family, and had an online group project meeting that lasted for an hour and a half. You can imagine that by the time I hit the bed covers at 10 pm that I was almost immediately dead to the world.

Monday started off early with my usual 5 am wake up call and a gorgeous sunrise. After a two hour workout, I'm now feeling ready to start another day full of hustle and bustle. Scheduled items include a good shopping date with the lovely Jasmeen, which might just end up in me trying on some wedding dresses. Wish me luck!

  1. Debbie!!!! Loove this outfit, the pink skirt is such a beauty (I"m seriously in love!) This past weekend I was looking to shop for a hat like yours but they are all too big for my small head :( hopefully I will find one soon, I"m dying for one! but something I got a bunch of is over the knee socks! I'm so obsessed with them!!! they make any outfit look amazing! so you will be a lots of those going on in my posts :)

Your Sunday sounded like such an amazing day! I love spending time with the girls and getting to do as many activities in the day as I can with them as well :) This past weeks have been very CRAZY for me too! super busy at work, at school and at home - that is why I've been gone for so long and I apologize for that! Another big reason why I've been so absent is because I've been working on my new website which took me like forever to figure out and I still keep working on it!
I hope your week is starting super good and if you go wedding dress shopping! I want to see pictures!!!! :)

    XOXO

  8. Hello wonderful Debbie! What an exciting Sunday! I really admire you for getting up so early and getting a good workout into your daily routine. I need to get better at that. I don't work out as much as I used so I need to get back on track. I will look up to you for inspiration. The Sunday brunch with the girls and donuts afterwards sounded like fun and I am glad you enjoyed it. That is one of the reasons why I work out so I can eat:-) The pink skater skirt is adorable and the scalloped top is super cute. And then is the hat, the coat and the booties... I like it all! You are super stylish and I really like every look you create. They all have a very special and unique touch that is so you. Hope you had a wonderful Monday and that you got a lot accomplished. I can't wait to see the wedding dress you end up choosing and I am very excited for everything you have ahead of you. Take care and blessings you always. XOXO, Jeannette

  17. I always spend a lot of time with my family on weekends esp on fridays too. After the long weekdays and hard work I all the time looking extremely forward to a lovely family day/night. Even when it's just chiling on the couch and watching movies together than going out, I do love those times tho. Nothing about quality times with the beloved ones right?

Anyway what a sophisicated outfit Debs. I love the combo of the pure white blouse and pouder pink plastic skirt. The hat and necklace in addition are a perfect match. Did I forgot to mention how cute you look on the portrait pic where you smiling? Gorgeous! I'm so loving your smile.

Sadly over here in my town we're struggling with rainy days lately which is terrible for those shooting days. I hope that soon the weather changes at least a bit so that I can make use of some good outfit pics finally after almost a week. It's really annoying.
