Monochromatic and Gold

Good morning everyone,
I just got home from watching "Wicked," the amazing Broadway musical that recently made its way to Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theatre (to the delight of our city). I fell in love with the incredible singing and dancing, the gorgeous costumes, and the flawless stage sets-- it also helped that the storyline was wonderfully whimsical, imaginative, and had a feel-good ending full of true friendship and love. While I nearly bought tickets for Cirque du Soleil's "Totem" for Friday, I think that watching "Wicked" was good enough entertainment for us this week. I highly recommend it to all of you who live within the area!

In terms of this particular outfit, I recently bought this pair of dressy shorts from H&M; however, since it was quite cheap, it was just about the only thing that I got that wasn't on sale. I also managed to get a much-needed pair of sandals from Urban Outfitters-- I'm in love with this simple design of gold straps (plus I can slip in and out of them so easily). I'm quite satisfied with both of these purchases as I know I'll be able to use them a lot during the next few months.
