Yaletown Yammerin'

Hello everyone, I've had a pretty fantastic weekend filled with fun dates with fabulous people (who coincidentally were also fashion bloggers). Also, it's less than a week before my birthday! Let's hope that next weekend will yield even more fun times. On Saturday I was able to meet a girlfriend for brunch (that turned into lunch) in Yaletown at The Flying Pig, a place that I had been wanting to try for quite a while now. After we had a wonderful time chatting about living in Asia, conservative Chinese relatives, fashion, and about how we pretend to know how to use makeup, we were sucked in by a "80% off" sale sign in the windows of the boutique across from the restaurant. There I managed to find a pair of flared J Brand jeans for $50-- a major steal!

THe food looks delicious, yum yum :)
ReplyDeleteOh, so your birthday is right around the corner? That's amazing :)
I love the time before my birthday. It's a countdown to the day where I am the princess :)
I like your look, the pants look amazing. And I love that you are wearing a hat. I think hats are something that kind of all fashion bloggers are wearing at the time. But thats great because hats make us look amazing :)

Oh, I'm alsolutely enamored by all your looks! I especially loved the one from last Sunday, with the tribal long-sleeve crop top, maxi skirt, and black hat. Simply stunning! I always enjoy my weekly catch up with your posts haha. You have the perfect blend of glam, trendy, and polished.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you have such wonderful friends! It was nice of one to get you a sweater in the last post! And it's always wonderful to chat with friends over food. That photo makes me so hungry. I'm glad to hear you're doing well!
Ah, and are you Chinese too? I totally feel you on the conservative Chinese relatives. I'm actually writing a paper about it in English right now, haha. It was relevant to a short story by a Chinese author.
Anyways, happy to hear you picked up some great bargains! I love this gorgeous look as well--the fur jacket is a perfect contrast to that white collared top. And those floral pants are a great pop of pattern and color. Gorgeous as always, Doffy!
And oh my goodness, can't believe I haven't been official following! Fixed that right now (:
ReplyDeleteWowwww you look stunning as always!! And I wish I can hang out with more fashion bloggers as well!! Too bad Toronto is in deep freeze mode and it's so painful just to go outdoors! <3

Wow, $50 for J brand jeans is quite the find!! I feel like I always end up getting suckered into stores even when I don't plan on shopping. Looks like you had a fun day, that food looks amazing!! And exciting your birthday is coming up so soon. Excited to see what you do and wear ; ) Love the pants so much! The design is so pretty and the blue and white is so light and refreshing. I love the furry jacket. It looks so cozy and chic. Love the contrast with the heavier jacket and light blouse and design of the pants. And you should always wear colored lipstick. It looks amazing on you!!! : )
