Zara Summer Brights

Happy Sunday everyone!
My month long vacation just began yesterday and I spent the first bit of it doing enjoyable things like catching up with good friends, light shopping, and finishing up the second season of The Mindy Project. Speaking of that hilarious show, I finished the entire first two seasons on Netflix within the last three days-- I was in tears of laughter and happiness by the second season finale. Highly recommend it!

In other news, I am leaving Vancouver tonight for a 13 hour flight directly to Shanghai for the first leg of my Asia trip. I will be travelling around southern China for one week (visiting a total of six hotels) before spending the next month in my hometown of Singapore. While I am dreading the extremely long plane ride, I am highly anticipating the sights, sounds, food, and shopping that await me in Asia. I haven't been back in almost exactly four years so it will be amazing to reacquaint myself with both the country and with all of my relatives. And you can bet that I will be taking a million pictures of the scenery, my shopping hauls, and food!

Lastly, how cute is this outfit? I am in love with both these powder blue heels and yellow high-waisted shorts that I bought recently from Zara's summer sales. As one of this season's hottest colours, I was very happy to acquire my first powder blue item in such a cute pair of shoes! As well, I've always enjoyed wearing bright yellow as it reminds me of sunshine and my favourite season of the year (summer, of course). I've never been one to shy away from wearing bright colours so I hope I didn't overdo it with two brights in one!
