Style Inspiration: Olivia Palermo
From Day: Back to Black
Although the timeless elegance of Audrey Hepburn is the foremost influence on my personal style, I adore the effortless chic and feminine glamour of the beautiful Olivia Palermo. She always manages to look absolutely flawless and fashionable in every single snapshot I have seen of her. In regard to the above outfit, it was interesting to note that the LBD, long known as the perfect solution to the issue of cocktail party dress, can also be worn as part of one's daytime wardrobe. Just take a look at how Palermo paired her LBD with a white vest, bauble statement necklace, and cute gladiator sandals in order to create a comfortable yet incredibly stylish outfit for her daytime appearances.

Take a look at the collage below for some ideas on how to shop for a more affordable version of her outfit:

Rather than leaning on the little black dress as a crutch for your evening dress, why not try for something a bit more unusual? Break the mould by pairing two chiffon floral pieces together: a midi to maxi-length skirt and a blouse tied together with a black leather belt. Top off the outfit with a very sexy pair of stiletto cut-out heels and some killer arm candy.
